Serena Nesi began her journey at a young age in the markets of Florence, selling all kinds of goods — from handbags to T-shirts. It was her encounter with a well-known bag seller that sparked a passion soon destined to become her lifelong craft.
An artistic soul with an eye for detail.
A student of the Porta Romana Institute of Art, Serena developed a deep love for drawing and photography — passions that continue to shape the aesthetics of her collections today.
The first stall and the San Lorenzo years.
When the woman she worked for stepped away, Serena took over the stall and launched her own business in San Lorenzo — a competitive environment that helped her build a loyal customer base over time.
A pause, then a new beginning.
After the Covid pandemic, Serena temporarily stepped back — but never stopped creating. She continued sketching new bags, researching materials and refining her designs. Eventually, she reopened at Florence’s Mercato del Porcellino (Mercato Nuovo), where she now presents and sells her collections.
